At approximately 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, Scarlett entered the Family Dollar store in Marion Oaks, where he pointed a firearm at a store clerk and manager while demanding money. Later that same day, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Scarlett entered the Shoe Station located at 2800 SW 24th Avenue and held the cashier at gunpoint while demanding money. Utilizing investigative tools and witness information, detectives were able to identify Scarlett as the suspect in all three robberies. MCSO and OPD law enforcement personnel later located Scarlett driving westbound on NW 8th Street toward NW Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. Scarlett was transported to the Marion County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond.
