ReportPESHAWAR: Veteran politician, senior leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) and former federal minister Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour has announced his retirement from electoral politics at the age of 86. Addressing a press conference at Bilour House here, Ghulam Ahmad Bilour said he was relocating from Peshawar to Islamabad due to prevailing circumstances, while making it clear that he would continue to play an active role in politics. I am stepping away from electoral politics, not from politics,” he remarked. Ghulam Ahmad Bilour said that living alone in Peshawar under the current circumstances was not possible, which prompted his decision to move to Islamabad. He reaffirmed, however, that his association with national politics and the ANP would continue.
