The New Franklin R-1 Board of Education took the first step in a major bond project, moving forward with a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for kitchen remodeling work. The board voted to move forward with the RFQ during its January 21st meeting. Superintendent Benji Dorson says the project aims to modernize and improve the 60-year-old kitchen. This project is being funded by the district $2 million bond that was approved several years ago. The Board of Education also approved the notice of election for Tuesday, April 7th.
