Three PMKSY Approvals for Jammu Kashmir, 1,607 Projects Sanctioned Nationwide

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir secured only three approvals under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) between 2021–22 and 2025–26, even as the central scheme approved 1,607 projects nationwide, official parliamentary records show.
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries told the Lok Sabha that, as of December 31,2025, 1,607 projects have been approved under PMKSY across its component schemes; 1,196 projects are completed/operationalised and 411 remain at various stages of implementation.
Nationally, the ministry disclosed component-wise utilisation of a Rs 6,520 crore allocation under the 15th Finance Commission cycle (including an additional Rs 1,920 crore).
Key allocations and utilisations include Rs 1,310.95 crore for integrated cold chain and value-addition (Rs 1,194.60 crore utilised); Rs 2,072 crore for processing and preservation capacity (Rs 1,511.40 crore utilised); and Rs 561.30 crore for Mega Food Parks (fully utilised at Rs 561.30 crore).
A separate additional allocation of Rs 500 crore for 100 food testing labs under the food safety component is shown with zero utilisation to date.
