News Investigators/ The Senate has set up an ad hoc committee to galvanise and distill all the opinions of Senators on the Electoral Act, 2022 (Repeal and Enactment) Bill.
President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, made the announcement on Thursday after a closed session.
The lawmakers, had in the executive session, begun considering the report of the Senate Committee on Electoral Matters chaired by Sen. Simon Lalong.
“The committee has 48 hours, or at most three days, within which to conclude its assignments and refer to the Senate before our next plenary, which comes up on Tuesday.
“The Clerk of the Senate will be the secretary of this committee,” he said.
