News Investigators/ Federal Government has approved the construction of a ₦1 trillion Metropolitan Rail Service in Kano State to transform urban transportation, boost economic activities, and ease traffic congestion. Kano State Governor,Abba Yusuf disclosed this while addressing the Kano State contingent that participated in the 2025 National Qur’anic Recitation Competition in Borno. ‘It is expected to stimulate trade and investment, improve quality of life, and position Kano as a major transportation hub in Northern Nigeria. “The Kano State Government would work closely with federal agencies to ensure smooth implementation and transparency,” the Governor added. Mr Yusuf appreciated the Federal Government’s initiative and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to keying into all supportive policies and infrastructure development.
