Monrovia, January 29, 2026: The Director General of the National Bureau of Concessions (NBC), Hanson S. Kiazolu, along with his senior management team, has held a constructive and results-oriented engagement with the Hummingbird Resource Liberia Inc. Concessionaires, reaffirming the Bureau’s commitment to effective concession governance in Liberia. During the meeting, both parties discussed the operational status of the Hummingbird concession, compliance with contractual obligations, and key issues relating to investment commitments, employment, community development initiatives, and environmental and social safeguards. The NBC team emphasized the importance of aligning concession operations with national development objectives and existing legal and regulatory frameworks. “Our responsibility is to ensure that concession agreements deliver tangible outcomes, jobs for Liberians, community development, environmental protection, and long-term economic value for the country.
