Morocco and the European Union holds this Thursday in Brussels the 15th meeting of their Association Council to look into ways of strengthening further dialogue and strategic partnership. The meeting will be co-chaired by EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas and Moroccan foreign minister Nasser Bourita. The European Union has extensive ties with the North African Kingdom in trade, political and security matters. The Union is also Morocco’s largest trade partner, accounting for 59% of its trade in goods trade in 2024. Over 67% of Morocco’s exports went to the EU, and 54% of Morocco’s imports came from the EU.
