ROME, GA.- Atrium Health Floyd will offer free blood pressure checks and heart education at two events this February in observation of American Heart Month:Free blood pressure checks will be provided in the Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center cafeteria Monday, Feb. 2 from 11 a.m. until noon.
Untreated high blood pressure increases a person’s risk of heart attack and stroke.
Residents can learn hands-only CPR, discover ways to take care of their hearts, and have their blood pressure checked at the Rome-Floyd County YMCA,810 E. Second Ave., Saturday, Feb. 7 from 8 a.m. until noon.
Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center is accredited by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) as a Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation, recognizing their expertise and commitment in treating patients experiencing chest pain.
Also, Atrium Health Floyd Emergency Medical Services is recognized as an Emergency Medical Services Partner in Care designation from the ACC.
