Calma / IAEA)The IAEA and the World Bank Group as well as with other international financial institutions (IFIs) and multilateral development banks (MDBs) have taken an important step forward in shifting their collaboration from diplomacy to concrete delivery. The workshop brought together senior experts from the WBG and other major financial institutions, including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the OPEC Fund for International Development. “Building on recent agreements with international financial institutions, our priority now is delivery,” said IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi. The agreement signalled a shift that other international financial institutions have begun to follow. IAEA subsequently concluded cooperation arrangements with additional MBDs, including the Asian Development Bank and the OPEC Fund.
