Uganda has set a target of raising its generation capacity from the current 2,000 megawatts to 52,000 by 2040. Central to this plan is investment in solar power generation, largely driven by private investors. NTV visited Xsabo Energies, which operates two solar plants in Gomba District and Tororo with a combined installed capacity of 40 megawatts. However, a cap of 5.1 US cents on return on investment is making it difficult for investors to commit to solar generation. Rachael Nabisubi reports.
