Senate Bill 26 would expand the scope of properties that can apply for an agricultural property tax classification with their local assessor’s office, which comes with a lower land value assessment. This is the second year in a row that Roberts has introduced a bill seeking to expand property tax relief for producers. A measure last year failed to advance, largely out of concerns over how the tax cuts would impact state revenue.
