Pet Pals/Courtesy photo2026 county tags for dog licenses are available now, according to a Jan. 27 press release from the Grand County Sheriff’s office. Under a county ordinance, all dogs in Grand County, including foster care pets, must be registered and display a current rabies tag and county tag, according to the release. Owners must show proof of current rabies vaccination before they can purchase a county tag. They are available at the Grand County Animal Shelter in Granby, as well as at any Grand County town hall or local veterinarian. Appointments for an engraved pet tag can be made by calling the Animal Shelter, and all proceeds go directly to Grand County Pet Pals, a supporter of the animal shelter.
