The District of Invermere today shared an update on the compost facility next to the wastewater lagoons and what residents can expect over the coming weeks. What’s happening right now:The stockpiled collected organics have been removed from the compost facility and are now being temporarily stored at the Columbia Valley Landfill. What’s next:-Processing at the Compost Facility will resume in mid-April. We will continue to monitor the compost site and maintain the surrounding environment to ensure safety for residents, pets, and wildlife.
