A new online platform makes visiting the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre easier, even when Old Man Winter makes travelling almost impossible. The museum has launched its new virtual museum experience, developed in partnership with Georgian College, allowing visitors to explore its galleries and spaces virtually at anytime and from anywhere. “Partnering with Georgian College allows us to extend the museum beyond our physical walls, through use of this technology,” museum director Cathy McGirr said in a news release. “We’re proud to partner with the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre to help bring this virtual museum experience to life,” Georgian College’s Immersive Technology Manager Rob Theriault said in the release. The virtual museum can be found by visiting brucemuseum.ca
