Raytheon, a business unit of RTX, has received a contract valued at USD 197 million from the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center for the MS-110 Multispectral Reconnaissance System.
This contract encompasses production, aircraft integration, and engineering support for the Polish Air Force, which is the first NATO member and the fourth air force globally to obtain this capability.
The agreement encompasses seven advanced reconnaissance pods equipped with sophisticated hardware and software.
The MS-110 system enhances intelligence capabilities compared to legacy systems by employing multispectral imaging, ensuring common ground coverage across all bands, and providing improved area coverage at extended ranges.
“The MS-110 system brings advanced capability by pushing next-generation processing to the tactical edge to defeat camouflage and decoys in near real time,” said Dan Theisen, president of Advanced Products and Solutions.
