Household deposits rose by approximately €2.5 billion in December 2025, according to data from the Bank of Greece, bringing the annual growth rate to 3.5%. Business deposits increased by €3.8 billion, compared with a rise of €90 million in the previous month, while the annual growth rate accelerated to 9.6% from 8.7%. More specifically, deposits of non-financial corporations (NFCs) increased by €4.056 billion, compared with an increase of €107 million in the previous month. Deposits of insurance corporations and other financial institutions fell by €205 million, compared with a decrease of €17 million in the previous month. The annual growth rate of their financing stood at -1.2%, down from -0.8%.
