Logan Houillon, 15, was diagnosed with non-verbal autism at the age of three and attended a school for pupils with moderate learning difficulties until a year ago. He then joined Chatten Free School, in Rickstones Road, Witham, last September. Within weeks of starting at Chatten Free School, the school has not only toilet trained Logan but helped him to learn to communicate for the first time and to gain some independence.
