By Stella OduemeThe Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Enugu Region, has commissioned a new 75MVA 132/33kV power transformer at its Mile 50 Abakaliki Transmission Substation in Ebonyi State. The General Manager, Enugu Region. Dr. Thomas Inugonum, GM (Transmission), revealed that TCN has approved the procurement of a new 60MVA power transformer to replace a decommissioned leaking unit. This will add 48MW to the substation’s capacity upon completion. This transformer project is part of the ongoing TCN-World Bank power projects aimed at further enhancing power supply in Nigeria.
