The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of one Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG), two Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs), and 26,119 Inspectors across the Nigeria Police Force.
According to a statement issued by the PSC, Assistant Inspector-General of Police Funsho Adegboye, mni, was promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG).
In a major career advancement exercise, the PSC further approved the promotion of 26,119 Inspectors to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II).
AIG Dansabo Idi, prior to his elevation, served as the Acting Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Research and Planning at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
PSC Reaffirms Commitment to MeritChairman of the Commission, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), mni, congratulated the promoted officers and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to transparency, meritocracy, and professionalism.
