One person was hospitalised following what one witness described as a “crowd surge” outside Electric Bristol during a popular student club night. Police were called to Nelson Street shortly before midnight on Wednesday following reports of disorder with barriers reportedly knocked over and people pushed. No serious injuries were confirmed but the South West Ambulance Trust transported one patient to Bristol Royal Infirmary with a “potential neck injury”. The venue, formerly known as SWX, said it is investigating the incident and highlighted its “outstanding track record of public safety”. “Electric Bristol hosts hundreds of concerts and club events every year and we pride ourselves on an outstanding track record of public safety and hosting safe events.”Main photo: Bristol24/7Read next:
