The Provost’s Office announced that Jenn Mallette, associate professor and chair of writing studies, has become the first Boise State Provost’s Teaching Scholar. “As someone who values learning, I’m at my best when I’m engaging with new ideas or able to learn, and I love learning more about teaching practices alongside my Boise State colleagues,” Mallette said. “The Provost’s Teaching Scholar designation offered a way to highlight the learning I’ve done and the benefit it has had on students. This program also allowed me to connect what I’ve learned across themes –course design, teaching strategies, and reflective practice – and to be recognized for my commitment to evidence-based, high impact teaching practices.
