The MG4 Urban represents the second generation of the MG4, which has been on sale in China since September 2025 and is now also entering the UK market. The previous MG4 EV featured rear-wheel drive, while the new model, sold in the UK with the ‘Urban’ suffix, is a front-wheel-drive vehicle. The MG4 Urban is also nearly eleven centimetres longer than its predecessor, with increases in width, height, and wheelbase. The variants with smaller batteries will be discontinued and replaced by the new MG4 Urban. In Germany, the ‘old’ MG4 Electric with a 49 kWh battery is available from €34,990.
