Lewis Cecil Goodwin, age 85, passed away peacefully at his home in Fort Smith, Arkansas, on January 27, 2026. Lewis proudly served in the United States Army for three years, including two years stationed in Berlin as a medic, where he met his beautiful bride, Karin (Scheuner) Goodwin. Lewis was also a faithful and devoted member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Fort Smith. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Dolph and Grace Goodwin; and his sisters, Emma Lou Goodwin, Lois Black, and Mary Keel all of Newport, AR. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
