The Boston Red Sox lost Alex Bregman to the Chicago Cubs this offseason and could be in the market for an infielder. The Red Sox have been linked to Isaac Paredes and Brendan Donovan on the trade market, but there is also a name to watch on the free agent market. MassLive’s Chris Cotillo predicted that the Red Sox would end up signing Suárez before opening day. The 34-year-old slugger is going into his 13th season and could sign on a shorter deal. Perhaps a one or two-year commitment from the Red Sox gets the job done.
