Weatherford, OK – Mason Hartley of Baxter Springs, Kansas is the recipient of the Dr. John Hays Scholarship for the 2025-2026 Academic Year at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU). Dr. John Hays, president of SWOSU from 2001-2010 and a 1969 SWOSU accounting graduate & 2011 Distinguished Alumnus, died on October 9, 2020. Hays was a member of the inaugural class of the Higher Education Leadership Academy and was a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma.
