ONTARIO-A year-long London-based investigation into the alleged trafficking of illegal firearms, fentanyl and cocaine concluded with 214 charges laid against 11 individuals associated to multiple criminal networks.
Police say as the LPS investigation progressed, the involvement of illegal firearms and the scope of the identified criminal networks prompted the launch of Project ALIAS in January 2025.
“Project ALIAS reflects the London Police Service’s strong commitment to safeguarding our community from the violence and devastation associated with illegal firearms and fentanyl.
Investigators identified multiple criminal networks allegedly capable of sourcing illegal firearms and high-capacity magazines, as well as large quantities of fentanyl and cocaine.
The criminal networks were also allegedly involved in high-level domestic trafficking of large quantities of fentanyl and cocaine.
