According to the complaint, Kazmierczak charged Omar, after the congresswoman called for the resignation of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and squirted a brownish orange liquid at her. One video of the encounter captures Kazmierczak saying, “She’s not resigning. Omar continued speaking after the disruption and later said she was OK, despite the liquid possibly reaching her face and eye and staining her clothes. A hazmat field specialist later identified the liquid as apple cider vinegar and water, and Kazmierczak was heard on Minneapolis Police Department body camera footage saying something about squirting vinegar. As of Thursday, no date had been set for his first court appearance.
