Harder Stadium at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) made history on January 27, 2026, as the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) returned to Santa Barbara after 34 years to defeat Chile. Harder Stadium hosted an international opponent for the first time in its history. The last time the USWNT played at Harder Stadium was in 1991, when the team played exhibition matches during preparations for the first FIFA Women’s World Cup. The team trained at Harder Stadium in 2019 and also at Westmont College in Montecito in 2023. Harder Stadium is an iconic, 17,000-seat outdoor stadium located on the campus of UCSB.
