My hometown, Kolkata, India, is one of the cities in the world most profoundly affected by climate change. I was thinking about what the lived experience of that kind of climate change will be. A sub-theme to climate change you explore is how it affects people of different socioeconomic backgrounds, visa situations, and so on. What do you want people to know about that aspect of climate change? Over the course of writing this book, how did it change how you think about climate change and society?
