A Southwestern Ontario truck driver has been ordered community service after punching another trucker in the face on the Blue Water Bridge. A Southwestern Ontario truck driver has avoided a criminal record, but has been put on probation and ordered to do community service after punching another trucker in the face on the Blue Water Bridge. The dustup took place on March 6 shortly after 2 a.m. on the Canadian side of the twin-span bridge connecting Michigan and the Sarnia area. The trucker who delivered the punch, a 57-year-old veteran long-haul driver from Southwestern Ontario, was arrested, charged and released. He recently pleaded guilty to one count of assault and was sentenced to a discharge conditional on completing six months of probation, which includes a ban on contacting the driver he punched and doing five hours of community service.
