Henry County Mayor Randy Geiger announced Henry County General Government will remain closed Friday, Jan 30, due to the continued hazardous travel conditions caused by Winter Storm Fern. County departments closed include the Courthouse, Annex, Airport, Central Building, Health Dept, Recycling Center and offices at Grove Campus. County offices are expected to be in a better position to reopen Monday Feb 2 for to resume normal operations. Mayor Geiger said, “Again, in an abundance of caution, I have decided to remain closed on Friday due to the icy conditions on county property sidewalks, parking lots , ect. Roads/bridges will remain hazardous during refreezing during the evening hours and this weekends cold temperatures.
