Justice, News January 29th, 2026Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP is investigating a collision involving a pedestrian on Wednesday evening in Botwood. The pedestrian sustained injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, and police are looking to speak with witnesses and obtain any video footage of the incident. At approximately 9:41 p.m. on January 28, 2026, police responded to a report of a collision on Circular Road in Botwood. A pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle and was transported by NL Health Services emergency medical services personnel to the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre for medical treatment. Weather and road conditions were poor at the time of the incident, with reduced visibility due to blowing snow.
