North Mymms Park is believed to have been built by Sir Henry Coningsby or his son Sir Ralph sometime around the late 16th century. Today, Manor of North Mymms’ exterior still resembles its original appearance. This particular home originally consisted of numerous smaller structures, all of which ultimately became separated in the late 1200s. The owner of the original portion of land, as well as two of the smaller manors, was an affluent London merchant named Simon Swanland. For its role in season four of Bridgerton, North Mymms Park takes on the role of Penwood House, in addition to a pub, Whites Gentlemen’s Club, Aubrey Hall, and Boules Court.
