Taika Waititi, the Oscar winner behind Jojo Rabbit and Thor: Ragnarok, was announced as director and co-writer of a new Star Wars film over half a decade ago. Even though Kathleen Kennedy has decided to amicably part ways with Lucasfilm, her legacy will live on in a number of several Star Wars projects green-lit during her presidency.
