Lockdown lifted at West Edmonton Mall after weapons complaint

Police are investigating reports that a man discharged what appeared to be a firearm at another man inside the West Edmonton Mall on Thursday afternoon.
The possible shooting triggered a brief lockdown at the mall that has since been lifted.
“There is no further danger to the public,” the Edmonton Police Service said.
Open Gallery 4 itemsPolice were called at 12:24 p.m. about two men walking near the Bourbon Street area of the mall when one of them reportedly fired at the other.
Edmonton police are continuing to investigate.
