Submissions for the State Fair of Texas Big Tex Boot Design Contest, presented by Lucchese Bootmaker, has been extended till Feb. 6, 2026. “Big Tex has been sportin’ his size 96 Lucchese boots since 2023, so its high time he put them to rest and dust off a new pair just in time for the 2026 State Fair of Texas,” said the State Fair of Texas. “But Big Tex can’t just wear any pair of boots. The winner will receive recognition in the press and marketing materials when winning design is announced and at the 2-26 Big Tex installation. Plus the winner will be outfitted with a pair of Lucchese boots (value $895).
