Acting veteran Mandy Patinkin (“Homeland”) has joined the cast of the upcoming live-action adaptation of the acclaimed PlayStation action-fantasy video game series “God of War” at Amazon Prime Video. Patinkin will take on the role of Odin, father of the Norse Gods who serves as the primary villain of the second game. The story follows father and son Kratos and Atreus as they embark on a journey to spread the ashes of their wife and mother, Faye. Through their adventures, Kratos tries to teach his son to be a better god, while Atreus tries to teach his father how to be a better human. The live-action series has received a two-season order with pre-production underway in Vancouver.
