Christopher Nolan’s Inception, Pixar’s The Incredibles, and the film that told us it only takes 20 minutes to get anywhere in Los Angeles have been added by the Library of Congress to the National Film Registry. 25 films have made the cut, including six silent films and four documentaries. “When we preserve films, we preserve American culture for generations to come. These selections for the National Film Registry show us that films are instrumental in capturing important parts of our nation’s story,” stated Acting Librarian of Congress Robert R. Newlen. The addition of the following 25 films brings the total recognized by the National Film Registry to 925.
