Emmy winner Damon Lindelof (Watchmen, Lost) is returning to the world of showrunners with the limited series The Chain, based on the bestseller by Adrian McKinty. HBO’s given The Chain a straight-to-series order, with Lindelof guiding the adaptation as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. “From the moment I heard the wild and original premise of Adrian’s book, I was shocked, surprised, and angry I hadn’t thought of it myself,” stated Lindelof. Damon Lindelof, Carly Wray, and Breannah Gibson wrote the pilot story, with Lindelof and Wray writing the pilot script.
