The latest regulatory approvals allow Malaysia Aviation Group (MAB) and Singapore Airlines (SIA) to progressively deepen their commercial partnership, focusing on stronger cross-border connectivity and improved flexibility for travellers between Malaysia and Singapore. Potential initiatives under the expanded partnership include revenue-sharing flights between the two countries, joint fare products, coordinated flight schedules, and integrated corporate travel arrangements. He said the collaboration aligns frequencies and schedules between the two carriers, enabling deeper connectivity and strengthening Malaysia Airlines’ competitive position. Currently, Singapore Airlines codeshares on Malaysia Airlines services between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, London Heathrow, and 15 domestic destinations across Malaysia, including Kota Kinabalu, Langkawi, Penang, Johor Bahru, and Kuching. In return, Malaysia Airlines codeshares on Singapore Airlines flights between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur and Penang, as well as long-haul routes linking Singapore with Barcelona, Brussels, Cape Town, Copenhagen, Istanbul, Johannesburg, London Heathrow, Rome, and Zurich.
