As such, the studio opted to ditch the controversial Carry Forward feature for Black Ops 7, which would have allowed players to take all of their cosmetic items and weapons from Black Ops 6 into the latest entry and start fresh.
With the reveal of the Season 2 roadmap for Black Ops 7 and Warzone, Treyarch and Activision have confirmed that Slums, a beloved map from Black Ops 2, will once again be returning.
For those who might not be fans of the map, Season 2 has plenty more in store to check out.
The studio has also confirmed it will be bringing back Safeguard for Black Ops 7 Season 2, a classic game mode that hasn't been seen in a mainline Call of Duty game since 2018's Black Ops 4.
The timing of Black Ops 7 Season 2 will once again see the shooter go head-to-head with its biggest competitor, Battlefield 6.
