Oracle upped its focus on healthcare, unveiling the development of a generative AI platform to tackle data fragmentation and so speed the process of putting information into action. The Oracle Life Sciences AI Data Platform targets companies and organisations in the pharmaceutical, medical device, research and life sciences sectors. SubscribeSeema Verma, EVP and general manager at Oracle Health and Life Sciences, said unreliable data “is a major barrier to progress” in developing “the medical breakthroughs that could transform and even save lives”. Oracle stated the platform accesses customer and third-party data, and more than 129 million anonymised health records from a related database. It uses AI agents which can be tailored to specific tasks, all with the goal of enabling organisations to conduct a range of healthcare and monitoring functions.
