Woman Arrested in Clements Ferry Road Shooting That First Appeared as CrashBERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Charleston police have arrested a 35-year-old woman in connection with a deadly shooting on Clements Ferry Road in Berkeley County that investigators initially believed was a traffic crash, authorities announced Wednesday.
📣 STAY IN THE LOOP 📣📰 Sign Up for Berkeley County, SC Newsletter ⬅️Officers and emergency crews were dispatched to Clements Ferry Road around 7:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle that had crashed into a power pole about a half-mile from Cainhoy Road.

SEE ALSO:The Berkeley County Coroner identified the victim as Arthur Broughton Jr., of Huger, who was married to the suspect at the time of the shooting.
She remains in custody at the Berkeley County Detention Center, where she is being held pending a bond hearing.
