A former live music venue in Paisley is set to be transformed into an aparthotel after plans were given the go-ahead by Renfrewshire Council. The applicant intends to link the building to the neighbouring 40-42 New Street, which has approval for an 11-unit aparthotel, and combine the business use. A planning statement, prepared by agent company CGA Design, explained: “This application seeks planning permission for change of use of a public house to seven serviced apartments on New Street, Paisley. “The application site is a two-story unit and fronts New Street to the north and an open grass and tree area of land to the west. “To the east it adjoins 40-42 New Street, which is subject to a current approval … for change of use to 11 serviced apartments.
