The Music industry is rallying to help Dermot Lyons from Caherconlish but now living in Charleville. Dermot is also a volunteer presenter on Tipp Mid West Radio and is dealing with a very serious health issue that means he cannot drive or work for the foreseeable future. Mr Lyons, who works for MD O’Shea, is recovering from surgery to install a defibrillator and pacemaker after a serious heart condition was diagnosed late last year. The father of four is to have further tests to assess his current heart function when appropriate. Mr Lyons says he hopes to attend both events for a short period to thank everyone for their support, Mass Cards and well wishes since his illness emerged.
