Clayton Man Allegedly Breaks Into Home, Demands CigarettesCLAYTON — A 49-year-old Clayton man faces multiple charges after he allegedly broke into a home and demanded cigarettes, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said. The incident occurred Dec. 24, 2025, on Carmen Lane. Deputies responded to a 911 hang-up call and learned that the suspect, known to the occupants, had entered the home while they were asleep. Authorities said the man, identified as Littleton, reportedly screamed at the residents and demanded cigarettes, breaking tables before leaving in a vehicle. Littleton was arrested Jan. 22 and served with warrants charging him with felony breaking and entering to terrorize or injure and misdemeanor damage to property.
