Nicki Minaj has claimed she is finalising her U.S. citizenship paperwork after receiving a “gold card” from President Donald Trump. The Trinidadian rapper shared a photo on X on Wednesday showing her holding up the Trump Gold Card – which grants people residency in America in “record time”. Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President. Oh CitizenNIKA you are thee moment Gold Trump card free of charge (sic),” she wrote, referring to her birthname, Onika Maraj. According to a government website, the Trump Gold Card offers people citizenship if they are willing to pay a $15,000 (£10,000) Department of Homeland Security (DHS) processing fee and a contribution of $1 million (£722,000).
