She said that public financial resources must be managed by competent and credible personnel, noting that effective financial stewardship was essential for sustaining quality primary healthcare service delivery. According to her, accurate and reliable financial records can only be achieved when departmental heads possess adequate knowledge of financial procedures and registers. Elelu said that this would help to strengthen and enhance overall financial management practices in the state. In his Lecture, Mr AbdulRahman Yusuf, the HACT and Financial Management Consultant from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), highlighted the importance of proper record-keeping.
