(NAN) The College of Medicine (CMUL), University of Lagos (UNILAG) on Thursday inducted 28 medical laboratory scientists for the 2024/2025 graduating set. Speaking at the induction ceremony tagged “9th Medical laboratory science induction and Awards” in Lagos, the induction lecturer, Mr Felix Ofungwu, Chief Executive Officer of ISN Products Nigeria Ltd, said the theme, “Boosting Local Content Diagnostics through Robust and Sustainable Creativity,” was a call to action for every graduating medical laboratory professional. Ofugwu alao charged the graduands to uphold professional ethics, commit to lifelong learning, and seek global best practices while building local solutions. Dr Donald Ofili, Acting Registrar, Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), who inducted the graduands into the medical laboratory science profession, charged them to uphold professional excellence. Abidemi Tella, Dean, Faculty of Health Professions, said that by the oath they were pledging to practise medical laboratory science with honesty, accuracy, and impartiality.
